Waste Management- Dishonest Billing Practices
We prepaid for 3 months of trash pick-up service from Waste Management starting early in 2012. In December of 2012, we had a new invoice to pre-pay for another three months of service, but money was tight for us, and we couldn't keep the service. In late February of 2013 things got better for us financially and we called to turn the service back on.
The lady we spoke with told us we had to pay for the previous 3 months that they weren't picking up, plus pay for an additional 3 months and then we would be paid up until the 1st of June.
On May 1, my trash was not picked up. I called to find out why, and was told that the company decided to put a $25.00 'resume fee' on our bill, sometime in April and that we had to pay that $25.00 resume fee in order to get the rest of the month we had already pre-paid for (May) back in February.
This company literally 'stole' 4 months worth of payments from us. Don't use them.
