We were having our roof shingled and our contractor "forgot" to order a 20 yard container for the old shingle material. We ordered one from Waste management and was quoted the price over the phone as $524.00.

Already $100 over the other 2 companies we got quotes from that did not have any dumpsters available for that time period. We paid right then with their pay by check electronic option. After picking up the dumpster we received a bill in the mail for $724.00 !!! Calling the customer service number we gave them our contract quote number and stated that we had already paid the quoted price.

The customer service rep. told us that "they" decided not to accept that payment?!! Instead, they were going to charge us the $724 because the dumpster was over the weight limit of 3.5 tons by 2 tons and the additional charge was for that overage. The dumpster was only half full!!

There is no way we can dispute the weight because they can just print anything they want as far as weight and date. The quoted weight limit for a 20 yard dumpster is 3.5 to 5.5 tons. There was absolutely no way that dumster was over by 2 tons. The customer service rep.

offered no solution to the over charge and we have no documentation to disprove the weight. This is a classic bait and switch technique by a mega money hungry company. We saved up for quite awhile to have our roof done and will have to really dig hard in our finances to pay the "extra" amount. I am going to consult with the Better Business Bureau on this matter.

Both for the decision on their part not to cash our check for the agreed upon price and the undocumented weight overage that was not sent with the bill we received. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.!!!!
