We are renting a house in Edmonds, WA and we have a large yard. When we moved in we called to start our services--and they were out of all types of bins.
They asked us to put our trash out in kitchen bags (3 per week) and the recycling in cardboard boxes. They also wanted us to put yard waste into paper bags (how ridiculous!) so we decided to wait on the yard waste until they had bins. Now after three months they FINALLY got around to getting us the garbage and recycling bins, so we called to get a yard waste bin also--and guess what, they're out.
Here's the kicker--we asked to be put on a waiting list and they said they can start our services but they don't know when they will be able to get us a yard waste bin--so we're supposed to pay for services we will not use until we get a bin several months from now? Waste Management needs to rethink their processes and try some customer service--I hear its all the rave nowadays.
