I contacted Waste Management customer service on Monday, December 27th, 2016 and reported the mistake in billing on their part. They said it would be deleted from my account in 3 to 5 working days. Well here it is 5 days later, and they still have not corrected the mistake of being billed an additional invoice in the amount of $312.70, over and about the other invoice of $70.80 which is correct. Waste Management's holiday policies on trash pickup used to make sense and was fair to everyone. Whenever a holiday occurred they would simply shift everyone's disposal days to the next day. We've had the same disposal day for years; Wednesday. That used to mean that we'd get switched to Thursday during holiday weeks. No big deal. Now? Now we have to wait until Saturday. Just our area. No one else has to put up with the growing trash buildup....

Scheduled pick up of larger item. Dispatcher informed me to place on curb for pick up following day. Three days later still sitting on curb. I had to call daily for status. I was informed today that I will have to wait for my normal day for pick up. I will be partitioning to switch waste companies.

The last owners left a huge mound of garbage and paid Waste Management for a extra pickup. I had to call several time for them to remove the huge pile. They sent one person. Now these huge green cans are still in my driveway. I can't get them to pick them up. I need the space for the cans for the local company. I have called 4 times and still the cans are out there. Well now they are in the snow bank so I can have my cans ready for the garbage...

If you sign up for WM, do not - as I did - select the "customer supplied bins" option. They promise that you will receive a "Welcome Kit" with instructions for purchasing, labeling, and positioning the bins. However, they never send this welcome package. I switched to Waste Management from another company paid for 3 months up front then got a bill for another 3 months within the first week of service called and canceled services after a week and a half. It took them over a month to pick up the can then over 4 months to refund only $13.20. They told me that the rest of what I paid was service fees and for the 2 weeks of service.
