We were a customer for years without a problem, until this week. They skipped our recycle pickup last week, or so we thought.

Upon a phone call to customer service, we learned they changed our pickup date, but never told us! Not a phone call, text notification or email! Then we put the regular can out today with an oversized shipping box on top because it would not fit in the can. (Prior to today, the garbage man would take whatever we left, yard debris, the occasional box, etc) We happened to be home to witness this pickup and saw two guys in the truck never get out, and use the new auto-picker retrieve the can and dump into the truck.

Our cardboard box left behind, now laying in the street... despite my husband running out to the road and trying to flag them down! When we called customer service, we were told container service is now the only option and the garbage men will not get out of the truck for extra bags, etc. Again, news to us!

Never a notice received of this change!!

Then when my husband cancelled over the phone, he was told we would not get a refund of the 3 months we paid in advance! If you have options for alternate companies, I suggest you choose anyone other than Waste Management!
